Rasika Shekar

Known and loved for her endearingly honest voice and soulful playing, Indo-American singer, flautist and composer Rasika Shekar’s music is a vibrant confluence of diverse musical worlds, rooted in Indian classical music. 

Rasika graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in performance and production and has delicately nurtured and crafted her sound that allows her to flow through genres effortlessly. 

Her distinctive sound as a singer and flautist has led her to an impressive list of collaborations including John McLaughlin, Shankar Mahadevan, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan and many others.

She has lent her voice and flute playing to Bollywood hits in movies like ‘Dil Bechara’, ‘2 States’, ‘Kill Dill’, ‘Katti Batti’, ‘Love Games’ and many more. Some of the biggest landmarks in Rasika’s career have been collaborating with greats like jazz legend John McLaughlin, Shankar Mahadevan, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan, Ustad Shujaat Ali Khan, and many other well-known personalities.

Creative force behind her eponymous band ‘Rasika Shekar Live’, the live musical experience brings together some of the most creative artists in the industry. Each show is a multi-genre journey ranging from Bollywood, ghazals, fusion, and contemporary forms that emanates from Rasika’s internationally acclaimed artistry.

Some of the biggest patrons of Rasika’s music have been leading multinational corporations including EY, SBI, Adani Group, Cairn, Outlook Business, Yamazaki Mazak, Multiples Group, and the American Association of Doctors to name a few.
